Following the Victorian Government’s latest directive to slow the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19), all Fitness First clubs will be temporarily closed, effective Wednesday, July 8, at end of staffed hours.

Memberships have been placed on a complimentary freeze until we are able to welcome you back into our clubs. You do not need to take any action, we have automatically made this change.

FAQs

How will I find out when you are re-opening?

When there is a directive from the VIC State Government that we are able to re-open our clubs, we will communicate with members via email. Information will also be available on our website and our social media accounts.

How is Fitness First supporting members during this closure?

While we won’t be seeing you in the gym, we will be right here with you online, keeping you motivated to stay active at home. Connect with us via our website, blog, Facebook and Instagram.
 
Please join our online community, Fitness First At Home Facebook Group, and keep an eye out for live workouts, wellness advice and recipes on Fitness First At Home (password: fitnessfirst), so you can continue to train and maintain peace of mind during this time of closure. 

Can I still access 24/7 clubs?

No. 24/7 access will not be available for the duration of the closure.

Will I still be charged for my membership?

Our members are at the centre of everything we do at Fitness First and with that in mind, memberships for those based in Victoria have been placed on a complimentary freeze until we are able to welcome you back into our clubs. We have contacted you via email with the details. 
 
In the meantime join our Fitness First At Home Facebook Group and keep an eye out for live workouts, wellness advice and recipes on Fitness First At Home (password: fitnessfirst), so you can continue to train and maintain peace of mind during this time of closure.

Will this affect the duration of my contract?

Yes. When your membership is placed on Time Freeze, it is not counted towards your membership payments. This means your contract will resume once we are able to re-open our clubs. 
 
For example, if you have six months remaining on a 12 month contract and your membership is placed on Time Freeze for six weeks, you will have another six months remaining once billing resumes.

I have paid up-front for my membership, how does this impact me?

If you have paid in full, your membership has been suspended until we are able to re-open our clubs. Your membership agreement will be extended once we have re-opened. At that time, you will hear from us via email with more information. 

I have bought a pre-paid membership, how does this impact me?

If you have purchased a 10 or 25 visit pass, any unused visits will be available as soon as we are able to re-open our clubs. The expiry period of these visits will be extended.

Did you close due to an outbreak of COVID-19 in your gym?

We have closed our studios following the directive from the State Government in response to the management of the COVID-19 pandemic in Victoria. This is an industry-wide shut down, not specific to Fitness First, which has maintained a high level of hygiene and compliance with Health Department guidance through this situation to date.

I have booked PT sessions, what should I do?

If you have booked Personal Training sessions with one of our franchised Personal Trainers we recommend that you contact them directly to make alternative arrangements. 
 
If you have purchased a PT Pack and have sessions booked with one of our employed Personal Trainers your sessions will re-commence as soon as we’re able to re-open our clubs. 
 
We will be working with our Personal Trainer team to deliver training options for all members with a Personal Trainer while our clubs are closed, stay tuned.

I have made a booking in club, what should I do?

All bookings made through the booking portal will be automatically cancelled. There is no need to log in and cancel these yourself.

I wish to cancel my membership

Your membership has been placed on a complimentary freeze, with no further payments until we are able to welcome you back to our clubs. If you still wish to cancel your membership, please email [email protected]
