Do I have to be a Fitness First member to register for the COMEBACK Challenge?

The COMEBACK Challenge is only available to Fitness First members. If you’re not currently a member, you can join The COMEBACK Challenge at the time of joining Fitness First. For a limited time only, you can bundle a 3 month Platinum membership with your COMEBACK Challenge registration for $495 (early bird) or $550 (standard rate).

How often does The COMEBACK Challenge run?

At Fitness First we run fitness challenges up to 3 times per year. The COMEBACK Challenge is a one off program designed to get your health and fitness back on track after lockdown. Keep an eye on this page for information about upcoming fitness challenges and start dates.

What does a typical week of training look like?

Each week we’ll recommend two COMEBACK Challenge training sessions in-club with your COMEBACK Challenge leader; a workout designed by our experts to complete on your own 1-2 times throughout the week; and a class recommendation such as HIIT, Cycle or Pilates. If you’re keen to commit to more than five days of training, there will also be bonus workouts to try.

How many in-club training sessions are included?

There are two in-club sessions included in each program. These sessions are run on the gym floor by the COMEBACK Challenge leader in your club. Session times can be viewed here and on the club timetable online when the program starts.

What if the scheduled sessions do not fit my schedule?

The COMEBACK Challenge will be running in every Fitness First club so you can attend any COMEBACK Challenge training session at any club throughout the week. If you can’t make a session, your weekly workout plan will include a bonus workout that you can do in your own time.

How many people are in a COMEBACK Challenge Session?

Group sizes will vary per club and your COMEBACK Challenge leader will make sure every participant gets the most out of each session.

Will I be training with members of similar fitness levels and abilities?

The COMEBACK Challenge training sessions are designed to suit all fitness levels and abilities, with options to modify or intensify exercises as you go.

What does a typical weekly meal plan look like?

Each week you will get an easy-to-follow and great tasting meal plan that includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack options, as well as a shopping list. Meal plans can be easily substituted to match your needs and preferences depending on your health and fitness goals.

Do the email plans cater for vegetarians?

Yes. These options are provided the first time you log in to the portal.

How do I access my weekly workout and meal plans

Once you have registered for The COMEBACK Challenge, we’ll email you an access code and instructions for how to access the online portal.

What’s included in the program + PT options?

These options include two or six one-off sessions with a Personal Trainer. Your PTM / FM will contact you to arrange these sessions and pair you up with a PT. We recommend taking up these sessions in the first few weeks of the program to help you find your focus and kick things off with expert advice that is personalised to you and your goals. You may choose to continue working with a PT, in which case this should be discussed with them directly.

How will I track my results

It’s important to learn where you stand before you set out, so in your very first COMEBACK Challenge session, your COMEBACK Challenge leader will give you a card to record your results and check back in on your progress as you go.

You will have the option to participate in a weigh in at the beginning and end of the program.

Your COMEBACK Challenge leader will take you through a basic fitness test that is repeated at the end of the program. If you’re looking for more detailed measurements and feedback on your progress, we recommend taking up the program + PT option to work through this one-on-one with a trainer. 

Is this program suitable during pregnancy?

We do not recommend this program if you are pre or post natal.

Is this program suitable if I have an injury?

Please discuss any injuries and / or concerns with your COMEBACK Challenge leader prior to the first session, so that they can tailor exercises to your specific needs.

What’s the difference between The COMEBACK Challenge and SQUAD?

The COMEBACK Challenge, powered by Squad, is specifically designed to help you get your health and fitness back on track after lockdown. We’ve made changes to the in-club workout experience to enable social distancing and limit equipment sharing. We’ve updated the nutrition program, and added live Q&A sessions with industry experts.

How can I provide feedback on my experience

If you have any questions or feedback it’s best to speak to your COMEBACK Challenge leader. We’ll also email you a survey link at the end of the program so you can provide more detailed feedback about your experience.

Where can I ask questions about my health and fitness journey

Your COMEBACK Challenge leader is there to answer any questions you may have along the way. You can also join our exclusive COMEBACK Challenge group on Facebook (the link will be provided upon registration) to share your experience, hear from our experts and meet others on the journey.
