If there’s one thing 2020 has taught us, it’s that life can be unpredictable, but we have a way to help ensure that no matter what happens, your health and fitness journey remains stable.

If your circumstances around employment suddenly change, we’re still here to support you with our Fitness Keeper Policy, so you can continue to train free of charge.

We believe that fitness should be accessible to everybody and our Fitness Keeper Policy provides a way for you to continue to reap the benefits of regular exercise and maintain social interaction, which is of utmost importance during challenging times.

 

New members will receive 3 months free gym access should they be made redundant
Non-members will receive 2 months free access if they have recently been made redundant

Fitness Keeper Terms and Conditions

Join Fitness First on any membership option between the period from 26 October 2020 until 31 March 2021 (New Joiner) and if you lose your job due to redundancy or full stand down without pay during this time and provide sufficient evidence in accordance with these T&Cs, your membership payments will be waived for a period of 3 months from the date of redemption or until 31 March 2021 (whichever is sooner) (New Joiner Free Period). New Joiners will continue to receive their same level of access to Fitness First during this New Joiner Free Period. After the New Joiner Free Period, the New Joiner will be required to continue paying membership fees in accordance with the terms of their membership agreement and their membership payments will automatically recommence on the next fixed direct debit date. 

Non-Fitness First members who lose their job due to redundancy during the period from 1 August 2020 until 31 March 2021 and provide sufficient evidence in accordance with these T&Cs, are eligible to receive free Fitness First Platinum access (excluding Titanium) for a period of 2 months from the date of redemption or until 31 March 2021 (whichever is sooner) (Non-Member Free Period). 

Ex-Fitness First members who lose their job due to redundancy during the period from 1 March 2020 until 31 March 2021 and provide sufficient evidence in accordance with these T&Cs, are eligible to receive free Fitness First Platinum access (excluding Titanium) for a period of 2 months from the date or redemption or until 31 March 2021 (whichever is sooner) (Ex-Member Free Period). 

No lock in contract is required for Non-Members or Ex-Members. Non-Members and Ex-Members will be required to sign all necessary forms prior to attending Fitness First and comply with all standard T&Cs of access to Fitness First which are available on our website at https://www.fitnessfirst.com.au/policies-and-legal/terms-and-conditions/. 24/7 access will not be available to Non-Members or Ex-Members. 

To be eligible for Fitness Keeper, appropriate evidence including termination of employment letter, proof of government assistance and/or proof of financial hardship must be provided to an appropriate Fitness First staff member. 

Fitness Keeper can only be redeemed once, is not transferable or redeemable for cash. To receive the full benefit of free access for up to 3 months as appropriate, New Joiners must redeem this offer prior to 31 December 2020 and Ex-Members or Non-Members must redeem this offer prior to 31 January 2021. The free access period expires and cannot be claimed after 31 March 2021.
