Boot camp

What is Boot Camp?

Boot Camp is a fun, motivating, highly exhilarating military style outdoor training program designed to challenge all aspects of your health and fitness. Its 4 weeks of intense training that will give you serious results. Your Boot Camp program consists of 8 - 12, 1hr sessions run over a 4 week period. Back to top

Do I need to be fit to do Boot Camp?

Of course not, that's why you are coming to us. On day one of the course we put all recruits through a Basic Fitness Assessment (BFA), allowing us to cater for and if needed place each recruit into a team depending on his/her individual fitness level. Back to top

What sort of results will I get?

The physical benefits from Boot Camp include increased fitness (cardio) levels, reduced body fat and increased muscle tone. The results gained however are not only physical as many recruits also report that they sleep better, have more energy and in some cases feel more confidence and motivation in all other areas of their lives. Many of our recruits use Boot Camp as a kick start to achieving a healthier life style. Back to top

Why is Bootcamp so different to other Fitness programs?

• It is run completely outdoors.
• Safe program design with no contraindicative exercises drills or circuits.
• A focus on quality instruction and execution of all exercises and drills.
• Your instructors don't only challenge and motivate you physically, but mentally and emotionally as well.
• We do not 'yell and scream' at our recruits therefore providing a motivating not fearful experience.
• You will see and feel the difference (even) in the first two weeks.

What will I be doing in Boot Camp sessions?

You will perform activities including but not limited to:
• Squad Runs (all together as a team), Stair Climbs, Sand Jogging and Hill Training.
• Functional Body Weight Strength sessions, with a strong focus a correct exercise execution.
• Specifically designed Mission Days to challenge individuals and teams not only on a physical but mental level.
• BFA = Basic Fitness Tests - to gauge 'where you are at' before, during and at the end of your program. Back to top

Is Boot Camp safe?

The course is designed to challenge you physically & mentally.
Safety is a priority of Fitness First Boot Camp. We take every precaution to ensure that you are safe at all times. All our instructors carry first aid kits and are trained to use them. We encourage every recruit to manage their own personal safety by wearing suitable exercise clothing, shoes and to maintain safe levels of hydration during exercise. Each recruit is required to complete a Recruit Enlistment Form and where necessary will be advised to obtain medical clearance prior to commencement. Please note that our instructors can prevent you from participating if they suspect any activity will be unsafe or dangerous for your health and wellbeing. Back to top

Who will your instructors be?

All Boot Camp instructors are qualified fitness professionals with the necessary fitness industry recognition and are known as competent providers of the Boot Camp Corp Training program.

Is there a discount if I do the course with friends or colleagues?

We do have provisions for group discounts however this is to be discussed at the time of enlistment. If a discount is given, it is a 'one off' which means if you return the next month the discount will need to be arranged again. If you are a corporate group requiring specific requirements, please contact 1 300 ENLIST (365 478) for details.

If I miss a session can I make it up the following month?

The Boot Camp program is a month by month program and as a policy make up sessions are not permitted.

What do you need to bring to your Boot Camp sessions?

You will need to wear comfortable workout gear with appropriate shoes you can run in. Also bring a full water bottle and a small towel for afterwards. You will be issued with a Boot Camp T-shirt on your first day (subsequent Boot Camps a T-shirt is not supplied unless requested).

Where are Boot Camp courses being held?

Boot Camp Corps Training is held in NSW, VIC, QLD, SA and WA and are aligned with Fitness First Australia Clubs in the area. New courses are scheduled depending on demand.

If I choose not to continue with the course, will I get a refund?

Once a course commences there are no refunds.
